$15,000 small business loan
The Local Plant Based Pizza Company, dba Paranormal Pizza, is owned and operated by twin brothers, Marc and Joseph Kubushefski. Marc is a vegan and an experienced pizza maker. He initially invested over three years moonlighting as a pizza maker at different pizza shops. After that time, Marc decided to make and sell his vegan pizza using Instagram as his “storefront”. Marc was confident he had the right product and skills to open a plant-based pizza shop. A $15,000 loan from the Rising Tide was used to finance the startup/ opening costs associated with opening the shop.
After a fire shuttered the original location, Marc came back to Rising Tide to secure additional funding for a new pizza shop on New Street in Bethlehem. Rising Tide Community Loan Fund loaned $200,000 for leasehold improvements and working capital for the new space.
