With prior experience in the home weatherization industry, Otis McNeil decided to start his own company in April 2006. Custom Weatherization provides services to residential and commercial customers across the Lehigh Valley. Otis works both with private sector customers and with contracts through CACLV’s Energy Partnership program to reduce energy usage and improve home safety and comfort by installing insulation, replacement doors and windows, and ventilation where needed.
The Rising Tide Community Loan Fund enabled the purchase of a work van, inventory and equipment, and working capital to start the business. The start-up of Custom Weatherization has led to the creation of three new jobs.
